Shutters
and VOA’s The principle
of operation of the Phoenix range of variable
attenuators (VOAs) and Shutters is to modify the fiber cladding to vary from a
guiding to non-guiding condition. The optical signal is not absorbed in-line
which enables the devices to operate at high powers where required. Polarization
maintaining fiber versions of the devices are also available. Based on the same
evanescent field technology Multimode

Monitors The fiber evanescent field Power monitors provide optical fiber tap and
detection in a single compact unit. Polarization maintaining power monitor and
