Phoenix Photonics Products at Photonic Insight Ltd.

Phoenix Photonics aims to be a premiere supplier of optical fiber components and multi-functional fiber modules (super components), based on its proprietary optical fiber evanescent field technology, vested in the founders. From the current product base the development roadmap allows sustainable growth for optimum market positioning. Phoenix Photonics was incorporated in July 2002 in the UK to develop, manufacture and supply optical fiber components and modules to meet the needs of a wide range of customers. 	Fused Coupler/Splitter The Phoenix range of all-fiber FBT Fused Coupler/Splitter components offer high performance at low cost. The range of products includes; 3dB Couplers, Power Taps, Multi-port Splitters, WDM’s and Multimode Splittersrsions Top
	Shutters and VOA’s The principle of operation of the Phoenix range of variable attenuators (VOAs) and Shutters is to modify the fiber cladding to vary from a guiding to non-guiding condition. The optical signal is not absorbed in-line which enables the devices to operate at high powers where required. Polarization maintaining fiber versions of the devices are also available. Based on the same evanescent field technology Multimode shutters have been developed for data network applications. Top
	Power Monitors The fiber evanescent field Power monitors provide optical fiber tap and detection in a single compact unit. Polarization maintaining power monitor and 8-channel, in-line power monitors designed with PCB compatibility in mind are available. Top
	Polarizers Phoenix offers a range of high performance all-fiber Polarizers in both single mode and polarization maintaining fiber formats. Specifically designed to meet the requirements of compact sensor designs we also offer 80um Reduced cladding polarizer. New high grade versions are now available. Top
	Depolarizers Based on Lyot depolarizers the Phoenix Depolarizers are all-fiber, designed specifically to meet the requirements of the fiber systems designer. Targeted at different source types, the range includes Raman pump depolarizers designed specifically to meet the demands for PDG reduction in Raman amplifiers. 	Polarization Control Products In-line with the current product release plan Phoenix has launched a range of all-fiber Polarization control products: Variable Waveplate, Polarization Scanner, Polarization Switch and Polarization Controller.
